The Seabirds Foundation

Coastal Stewardship, Community-Led

Established in Vancouver, Washington, we bridge marine science with local action for Pacific Northwest ecosystems.

Founding in 2024

Our Roots in the Northwest

The Seabirds Foundation was established in 2024, grounded in the unique ecological needs of the Pacific Northwest. Our work begins where tide meets forest, focusing on tangible, local efforts that foster shoreline resilience and protect vital marine habitats.

We believe true conservation is community-driven. From Vancouver, Washington, we coordinate boots-on-the-ground fieldwork, engaging residents and partners in the direct stewardship of our shared coastal ecosystems.

Our Philosophy

Grounded in Community Action

We champion community-driven conservation, believing that meaningful change happens on windblown shores, not in distant boardrooms. Our approach prioritizes direct engagement, empowering local residents to become active stewards of their environment.

This hands-on fieldwork ensures our initiatives are deeply connected to the ecosystems we serve, building long-term ecological resilience. We translate marine ecology into accessible action, fostering a profound connection between people and the natural world.

Indicator Species

Seabirds show us what the ocean cannot say aloud. When their nesting grounds thrive, our shared waters thrive.
